
In-house Tax Manager
For our headquarters of an international group in the field of medical technology, located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, we are looking for an in-house Tax Manager in international tax law.
You as our tax manager are responsible for auditing and ensuring compliance with all tax-related legal regulations in our group. In addition, you develop tax strategies and policies that help the business maintain compliance with local and federal tax laws and regulations. With your expertise and experience, you advise and support the board of directors during restructuring and company acquisitions. Within our group, you are the specialist and point of contact for all tax-related issues and matters. You will keep track on local and international trends and developments in the field of taxation. The main topics you will be involved in are highlighted below. You will be managed by the Senior VP Finance of LINET Group SE.
Your tasks:
- Active monitoring of external tax developments (OECD, EU) and analyzing their relevance for the group (DAC 6 directive compliance, ATAD 3)
- Partner with different stakeholders and group functions (e.g. Board of Directors, tax authorities, tax consultants, Legal, Controlling, Accounting, Treasury, HR, Supply Chain)
- Providing tax input and advice during cross-functional projects, organizational or legal restructurings and M&A projects, also in cooperation with external tax advisors
- Supporting business teams with day-to-day tax and transfer pricing questions and creating internal tax awareness
- Ownership of the transfer pricing (TP) agreement for the group, i.e. maintaining and creating appropriate tax and TP policies and documentation, including group master file, entity level local files, service level agreements and other TP documentation
- Familiarity with international tax concepts and principles (e.g. permanent establishment, double tax agreements, MAP and application of withholding taxes)
- Implementing necessary processes including issuing of relevant guidelines and checklist and providing relevant input for the Internal Control System (ICS)
- Preparing strategies to improve the group’s tax position and drive respective implementations globally
- Leading tax audits and preparing defense strategies
Your profile:
- Master’s degree in taxation (LLM) or equivalent
- Min. 5 years of relevant international tax & transfer pricing experience, preferably gained in the tax department of a multinational industrial/manufacturing company, or in an international tax consulting or accounting/auditing firm
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a high level of initiative and creative drive with a hands-on mentality
- Independent and self-reliant working style and a high level of commitment together with a strong entrepreneurial mindset
- Thinking ahead, being proactive and challenging business partner
- Strong communication and presentation skills, excellent in promoting change
- Broad understanding of international corporate tax issues, knowledge of the Dutch, German and/or Czech domestic tax systems is preferable
- Good understanding of EU-VAT issues for intra-group deliveries of goods and services
- Language skills: proficiency in both written and verbal English is required, command of Dutch or German and the ability to speak additional languages is desirable
