Fixed Income Data Scientist

Department

The Data Science team within Robeco’s Investments division leverages data and technology to improve our investment performance. The 10 data scientists within the team each have their own focus area, like equity trading, climate or macro. As a Fixed Income Data Scientists you work with portfolio managers, analysts and traders to gain actionable insights by analyzing our own and external data and developing tools and analytics. Examples include analyzing performance and positioning for (behavioural) biases and unintended risks, measuring transaction costs and finding ways to reduce those, build tools to support portfolio optimization by analyzing impact on (sustainability) restrictions or using AI with news to improve or automate company screening processes.

Position & Requirements

You have:

• an MSc or PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Computer Science,  Engineering or Econometrics
• Strong coding skills in the python data stack. Experience with PySpark/Databricks, Azure or app development (Plotly Dash / Streamlit) is a pre.
• A deep understanding of fixed income markets, demonstrated by several years of work experience in this field. The ideal candidate has around 5 years of experience in this area, though we will consider both more and less experienced candidates.
• Strong communication skills: able to explain complex subjects and work together with a wide range of stakeholders.
